Many shops and restaurants are now offering collections or local deliveries. This page lists the shops and restaurants that are still open in one form or another. This information was correct at the time of posting, but may obviously change as time goes by. Please let us know if you spot any changes so we can keep this page as accurate as possible.
Businesses are ensuring a safe distance of two metres between both customers and customers and staff. The number of people inside a shop at any one time is strictly controlled. Queue control has also been imposed outside some businesses to ensure people are self distancing and two metres apart.
Please also follow current government rules to stay at home. Shopping trips should be as infrequent as possible and only for basic items - food and medicine.

The shop in Matfen is providing a wide range of essentials and throughout the lock down Ian and Tracy have worked tirelessly to keep the store stocked. Shopping here involves far less mixing than in a large supermarket and hence less risk of Covid transmission.

Laidlers offer free delivery of vegetables, fruit and dairy produce. They also have an iPhone app which enables you to order from an extended product range that is not currently available on their home delivery website. Check out their website for more info.
Pizza, Pasta and Specials to pick up from Il Piccolo from Wednesday to Saturday, 4-8. They are staggering collections. The restaurant is big enough for 2 at a time. Payment on ordering please, and bring your own carrier if possible, to keep plastic down. Phone orders 11-7 on those days.
